Anchored by the characters and events of the “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” animated series, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes reveals a new and exciting chapter of the Star Wars saga. Containing the series’ unique graphical style, a story conceived by the writers of the television series, multiple playable characters across two classes and co-op gameplay it is a must-have title sure to enthrall both new and more seasoned fans alike.
Story Gameplay in Star Wars the Clone Wars: Republic Heroes is mission-based. Players can choose to approach the action as either a Jedi or a clone class character. Playing as a Jedi you have access to eight playable characters, and as a clone you play as one of a group of clones. The game was developed with co-op play in mind, which means players can more or less count on never fighting alone, which is a good thing considering the hordes of battle droids and other enemies you will face. The game also features a puzzle-solving gameplay component, as well as an upgrade system based on the collection of “Force Orbs” scattered throughout the game environment. Weapons and Combat Keeping with the games’ user friendly approach, the control scheme has been designed with Jedi character’s lightsaber and force powers, as well as clone characters firing trigger accessible from a single input source. Because of the difference in the character classes weapons, combat differs depending on the class chosen. Due to their reliance on the their lightsabers, Jedi will mostly engage enemies at close range, although force power attacks can allow for more distance from targets. In addition, utilizing Jedi powers at point blank range players are able to engage in “droidjacking,” which allows a Jedi to take control of a droid’s weapons system and other abilities. On the other hand, clone character combat relies more on firepower, utilizing a variety of blaster type weapons and thermal grenades, although clones are able to acquire heavier weapons, such as miniguns and rocket launchers as the game progresses. Because of the projectile nature of these weapons clone character combat can be fought as a variety of distances. Key Game Features

Product Description
BioWare and LucasArts—creators of the hugely popular Star Wars:® Knights of the Old Republic® video game—have combined their storytelling talents and cutting-edge technology for an innovative new massively multiplayer online role-playing game that allows players to create their own personal Star Wars adventure 3,500 years before the rise of Darth Vader. Now #1 New York Times bestselling author Sean Williams brings the world of the game to life in his latest novel, Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance.
Tassaa Bareesh, a matriarch in the Hutt crime cartel, is holding an auction that’s drawing attention from across the galaxy. Representatives of both the Republic and the Sith Empire are present, along with a Jedi Padawan sent to investigate, a disenfranchised trooper drummed out of the Republic’s elite Blackstar Squad, and a mysterious Mandalorian with a private agenda. But the Republic’s envoy is not what he seems, the Empire’s delegate is a ruthless Sith apprentice, the Jedi Padawan is determined to do the right thing and terrified that he can’t, the trooper hopes to redeem her reputation, and the Mandalorian is somehow managing to keep one step ahead of everyone.
None of these guests—invited or uninvited—have any intention of participating in the auction. Instead they plan to steal the prize, which is locked inside an impregnable vault: two burned chunks of an exploded star cruiser, one of which may hold the key to the wealth of an entire world.
But the truth about the treasure is dangerous and deadly. And in the end, Sith and Jedi, Republic and Empire, must do something they’ve never done before, something that all the agents of good and evil could never make them do: join together to stop a powerful threat that could destroy the galaxy.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Product Description
Studio: Warner Home Video Release Date: 11/11/2008 Run time: 98 minutes Rating: PgAmazon.com
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is the 2008 CGI-animated theatrical film that serves as the kick-off to the weekly animated Clone Wars TV series. The concept came about way back in 1977′s original Star Wars film, when Leia says in her message to Obi-Wan Kenobi “Years ago, you served my father in the Clone Wars.” Initially a simple offhand reference that would reveal Luke’s past, the phrase captured fans’ attentions for years, until Episode II: Attack of the Clones revealed just how the Clone Wars figured into the battle between Republic and Empire. The 2008 movie is full of familiar characters–Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Count Dooku–and a new one: Ahsoka Tano, a young girl who has been made Anakin’s Padawan. Together, the two headstrong youths embark on a mission to rescue Jabba the Hutt’s kidnapped child, battling each other as much as they battle the Separatist forces. There are some kind-of-cool sequences, including duels with Dooku and his assassin, Asajj Ventress, and it’s interesting to see some new corners of the Star Wars universe, such as the seamy underbelly of Coruscant. But Ahsoka and her penchant for nicknames that are too cute to stomach seem aimed only at tween-age audiences, and for all that goes on in the movie, nothing really happens in the end. The 2003 animated Clone Wars microseries, which had the advantage of being directly tied into the live-action film series, had much more emotional bite.
At least some familiar voices return: Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO, and still the only actor in every movie), Christopher Lee (Dooku). Other voices include Matt Lanter (Anakin), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka), and James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan). But even the traditional opening crawl has been replaced by a narration more suited for Starship Troopers. Veteran Star Wars fans will probably want to see The Clone Wars–once–but it won’t take them long to discover that this Star Wars isn’t their Star Wars any more. –David Horiuchi

This is no ordinary lightsaber — it sports two blades in one. |
Double-dualing, Double-bladed Lightsaber
The Star Wars Sith Dual Action Lightsaber includes two lightsabers–a larger one and a smaller one. The smaller one can be used on its own as an extra weapon, or it can be put into the end of the larger lightsaber to form a double-bladed weapon. Both lightsabers light up with a fluorescent blue glow.
You can also easily store the smaller Dual Action Lightsaber inside its larger twin by holding down the side buttons and releasing them once it is in place. By doing this, the Dark Side will have no idea that you are coming into battle with two weapons! Both lightsaber’s light wands smoothly slide back down into themselves when your child is finished playing, leaving very little clean up.
Perfect 2-in-1 Toy for Star Wars Fans
The Star Wars Dual Action Lightsaber finally gives science fiction lovers the chance to have their very own lightsaber and take part in the eternal battle against the evil Dark Side. Both lightsabers look like those used in the timeless movies, and the lights and sounds are spot-on. One thing to keep in mind is that the lightsabers are not very bright when played in direct sunlight, but are perfect for indoors or darker areas. The lightsabers are also very lightweight, making them easy for younger children to use.

Join the Grand Army of the Republic
Preparing for your first mission as a Clone Trooper is quick and easy. Before you assemble the helmet, adjust the straps on the insert to fit your child, then snap it into place. We had to try several times before the two back pieces and the front of the helmet snapped together neatly. Once we got the three pieces aligned correctly, they attached securely, producing a sleek, sturdy helmet. The three “AA” batteries that power audio features come already installed.
Featuring realistic details, including a tinted visor, a crest on top, and clone-inspired colors, this durable, plastic helmet has three buttons on the right side that prompt five different sayings from the Clone Wars TV show. A button that issues radio static keeps communication interesting, and commands like “Cover Me!” and “All units fire at will!” add a quick adrenaline rush to any battle. Plus, there’s a voice-modulator microphone so kids (and adults) can issue their own statements in a cool clone voice.
Experience Intergalactic Role Playing
Whether part of a Halloween custom, an everyday role-playing game, or a display in the ultimate collector’s bedroom, this Clone Trooper helmet brings home all the excitement of Star Wars. We were floored by the accuracy and durability of its construction. Plus the tinted visor was much easier to see through than we expected, as long as the helmet was sized correctly.
The size and weight that make this helmet so realistic and durable did cause us to worry about how easy it would be for smaller children to wear. It’s true that the straps inside adjust to fit small heads, but that doesn’t prevent the size of the helmet itself from being awkward. Similarly, the microphone is adjustable, but it can still be stuck too far away from a small child’s mouth. This means that the helmet has to be lifted by hand to speak through the microphone.
When it’s positioned close enough to the wearer’s face, the microphone does a good job amplifying statements and commands, as well as providing the static you’d expect from a clone. It’s ability to truly modify and deepen a voice is less reliable, although this doesn’t really detract from the fun. Overall, it’s hard to beat a toy that encourages active, imaginative play the way this helmet does. Even adults who are loyal to the original trilogy are likely to enjoy slipping the Clone Trooper helmet on and taking part in the struggles of the Republic.
