Open Question: Star Wars Battlefront II Xbox 360 live problem.?

I just got a 360, and I got Live. I installed all the updates, and I could finally play S.W.B.F.2 on my 360. But when I tried to get to online multiplayer, it tells me that, “I have an urgent message from xbox live, and I cannot play online until it is read”
I click the link, but it just takes me to “Manage system settings” or something like that.
I have no new messages, and whenever I try to play, the same thing happens over and over.
Can you help me?
